Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 2026-07-27

Coworkkit sells voice-runtime minutes, and minutes are consumed the moment you use them. The short version: you can cancel at any time and keep what you have paid for until the end of the period; minutes you have not used are refundable on request within 14 days of purchase; minutes you have already used are not.

Pending external counsel review. This page reflects Coworkkit's current practice and is provided for transparency; it has not yet been reviewed by a data-protection lawyer.

1. Who this policy applies to

The Coworkkit service is offered to business customers — organisations integrating the SDK into their own application — and is not directed at consumers. This policy sets out the refund and cancellation terms S.M. Ebrahim Mirsafian (the “Operator”, “we”) applies to those purchases. Where a purchaser is nevertheless a consumer under applicable law, the statutory rights described in section 6 apply and take precedence over anything narrower here.

2. Immediate access, and what that means for the withdrawal right

Coworkkit is digital content supplied immediately. When you complete a purchase, minutes are credited to your account and the Service becomes available to you straight away. By purchasing, you expressly request that immediate supply and acknowledge that a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation, where one applies, is lost once supply has begun and to the extent the Service has been used. Completing a purchase is your consent to that immediate supply.

3. Refunds

  • Minutes you have used are non-refundable. Consumed minutes represent runtime we have already paid our own providers for.
  • Unused minutes are refundable on request within 14 days of purchase. This applies to any payment — a subscription charge or a top-up. Contact us within 14 days of the payment and we will refund the unused portion of it. We work out the refundable share from the minutes still remaining on your account, which you can see on the Usage page in the portal at any time; we do not track minutes back to individual purchases, so where more than one payment is in play we resolve it in your favour.
  • After that window, no partial-period refunds on subscriptions. Once a payment is more than 14 days old, the subscription period you paid for runs to its end: cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period (section 4).
  • Top-up minutes are valid for 12 months from your most recent purchase. Minutes bought as a one-time top-up are not reset by a renewal, a plan change, or a cancellation — they stay on your account, and remain spendable even if you move back to the Free tier. They do carry an expiry date, and it is a single rolling date covering your whole top-up balance: every new top-up resets it to 12 months from that purchase, so buying again extends everything you already hold rather than starting a separate clock. You can see the exact date next to your balance in the portal, and before you buy. The 14-day rule above is still how you get the money back if you would rather have that than the minutes.

We may also refund a purchase at our discretion where a technical fault on our side prevented you from using the Service. Nothing in this policy requires you to argue a fault before asking.

4. Cancellation, plan changes, and renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the portal, which opens the payment provider’s customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: you keep your plan and its minutes until that date, after which the account reverts to the Free tier. Cancelling does not itself pro-rate or refund the remainder of a period — the routine refund route is the 14-day unused-minutes rule in section 3, and the discretionary and statutory routes in sections 3 and 6 are unaffected.

Moving to a higher plan takes effect immediately, and the payment provider charges the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal — you keep the plan you paid for until then, and the new price and included minutes apply from that renewal onwards.

If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider will retry the card and contact you. Your access continues during that retry window; if the payment is never recovered, the subscription is cancelled and the account reverts to the Free tier.

5. How refunds are processed

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle handles payment, invoicing, sales-tax and VAT collection and remittance, and the processing of refunds. Paddle's own buyer terms and privacy notice apply to that transaction alongside our Terms.

In practice this means a refund is paid out by Paddle, back to the original payment method, under the terms of this policy. Timing after approval depends on your bank or card issuer. To request a refund or cancellation, or to ask anything about a charge, email us at ebi@coworkkit.ai — quoting the invoice or transaction reference from your receipt makes it faster. You can also reach Paddle directly from any receipt they have sent you.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes rights you have under mandatory law, including any statutory right to cancel or to a remedy for a service that is not as described. Where such a right applies, it stands regardless of the terms above. If you believe you have one and we have applied this policy wrongly, tell us and we will put it right.
